Types of post & rail fencing
There are three main types of post & rail fencing to choose from:
- Heavy. This attractive fencing type comprises half round vertical posts, with three or four mortices for the sawn horizontal rails to fit into.
- Nailed. This fencing is sturdy and robust, comprising of sawn square vertical posts and three horizontal rails which nailed to the posts. Choose from half-round rails or the sawn section rails.
- Morticed. Sawn square section vertical posts combine with three to four horizontal square section rails which are fixed surely into the posts. Extra prick posts midway provide extra support.
